One of our favorite small-but-mighty upgrades to emerge from recent remodels is what we call the AM/PM Station: a versatile coffee station by morning, and cocktail bar by evening.
It’s a smart way to make use of a tucked-away corner near the kitchen—a space often overlooked, yet full of potential.
🧰 The Build: Quartz, Glass, and Intentional Details
In one of our recent kitchen projects, we crafted an AM/PM station that does double duty without missing a beat. Here's how we built it:
Quartz Countertops: We installed a clean, low-maintenance quartz surface that’s perfect for setting down hot mugs in the morning or mixing drinks at night. It offers elegance and durability in equal measure.
Custom Cabinetry Below: The lower cabinet stores essentials—coffee grinders, mugs, bar tools, even a small wine fridge if desired—keeping the space both functional and clutter-free.
Glass-Front Uppers: For the upper cabinetry, we went with clear glass doors, giving our clients a chance to display beautiful drinkware, vintage espresso cups, or collected bar glass.
Open Shelf Highlight: Above the countertop, we added a floating open shelf to display signature liquor bottles—making the transition from day to night seamless and stylish.

In the morning, the AM/PM station becomes a calm coffee sanctuary away from the bustle of the wider kitchen—with everything in one place for a quiet peaceful start to the day. Come afternoon or evening, it effortlessly shifts into a cocktail or mocktail mixing station, giving hosts and homeowners a stylish and efficient space to prepare drinks without taking over the main kitchen.
